Titania’s Earth Mother Speech

Here is Titania’s Earth Mother speech from our July 2011 production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Carlos Carrasco. We performed it as a benefit for TreePeople at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Amphitheatre in TreePeople’s Coldwater Canyon Park.

The players in this scene, in order of speaking, are: Annette Reid (Titania); Juliette Angeli (Fairy); Michael Hovance (Oberon).

Pyramus and Thisbe

Here is the “Pyramus and Thisbe” scene from our July 2011 production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Carlos Carrasco. We performed it as a benefit for TreePeople at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Amphitheatre in TreePeople’s Coldwater Canyon Park.

The players in this scene, in order of speaking (or roaring), are: Juliette Angeli (Snout as Wall); Michael Hovance (Theseus); Annette Reid (Hyppolita); Jens Kohler (Bottom as Pyramus); Zach Kanner (Flute as Thisbe); Mandi Moss (Starveling as Moon); Nikolai Fernandez (Peter Quince as Lion).

Carlos is back in town

Carlos is back in town after shooting PARKER with Jason Statham and director Taylor Hackford.

Interrupting blimp

This blimp flew overhead during the last day of shooting of our short film Honesty, Pencil, Rose.

It along with leaf blowers, sirens, helicopters, dog-walkers, chainsaws, cropdusters, woodchippers and other noisy things — made getting clean audio very challenging.

If it had not been such a simple set-up, we would have completely lost the light waiting for gaps in the noise.

This photo was taken by Jens on location for our short film Honesty, Pencil, Rose. Shelley (played by Annette) prepares for a difficult scene with her dad who has Alzheimers (played by Kent).

The light was nice and it was an impulse shot.

The photo ended up being the basis for the poster of the film and other marketing materials.
